As an increasingly irritating and obnoxious...errrrm...Sexy and wise member of this very small blog community that comes and goes like the tide...I have come to notice that we are getting older and older among our members...We tend to always have had a mix of:

1.  Teenagers in angst/lust/love

2.  Twenty something year olds with relationship problems or questions about why whatever happened to them happened.

3.  Older goths and punks all mellowed out trying to work through their second major relationship after their first marriage ended...Seriously look at the blogs there are patterns EVERYWHERE.

and my favorite of course...4.  The kooks/crazies/angry/the bitter/the suicidal etc.

Now all groups blog...The young ones seem to run out of gas quick and blog once or twice then disappear or their blogs are as long as a Chinese Cookie Fortune...The twenty year olds only blog when it pertains to them...I mean we all do that but they hardly do anything about social observations/economics/politics etc...The older ones are a strange lot indeed but no one can touch the krazies who appear like a storm rant and disappear.

Damn I love reading those...Because they are insanity in real life and honestly as passionate as anything out there...So I say that doing blogs for myself serve as a way of thinking my way through a problem or situation...But what does it mean to you?

Is it just a rant place...A place to look for pity...Try to get laid...A place to brag and disappear OR an actual place where even through it's public domain has GM gone from dating site to more of a blabbing site for nerds?

Hmmm...has become a tad boring...but it's been great therapy for me for two years.

And a good place to hide when I get into trouble on other sites...lol

Met some lovely people and respect many writers here.

Actually, come to think of it...if I hadn't liased with Monarch here, I wouldn't have gone to the BDSM site, then I wouldn't have seen the add for give-away Millionaires , then I wouldn't have moved in with Hef, and I wouldn't have had the chance to do all the leatherwork promotions...and wouldn't have met the man of my dreams and wouldn't have moved to Nth Queensland to be with him.

And...without the therapy aspect, I would have been in jail for killing that flatmate and landlady.

I owe everything to GM!!!

Because this is where my peeps are! Unfortunately we're spread thin. This is where I can actually write a blog and get intelligent or heartfelt responses. Here I am accepted and normal.

For me, I'm more of a blog voyeur than an actual blogger. As for this site, unless you're a preferred member it's pretty much pointless as searching the profiles and what not gets you nowhere. Wink, get wink back, never speak again.

You can't even start conversations with anyone in chat as a normal member so that's out aswell even if the person does by some miracle happen to be on.

I posted a blog a while ago about something funny that happened but because GM are so scared of anyone finding a way round their no contact unless you pay policy, they removed the link to the gif.

There does seem to be more activity on the forum but even that tends to be people coming to this site the first time, post something, then disappear.

All that being said I have spoken to some lovely people on here like Raphaella, Dudie, Kalidra and some others. It's the die hard bloggers that keep this site afloat though, without you lot I doubt I'd even bother logging in at all.

Good question.  It might be just me but I really don't see much traffic on this site.  The traffic I do see are the diehard members; it's always the same names over and over again.
I really think this site would benefit from having a more interactive IRC based chat room, because blogs and forums and perusing people's profiles for possible matches is hit or miss.  I could be gone a few days ad come back and not much has seriously happened.  Or maybe there's some part of the site I'm not seeing where it's all going down and I just don't know about it.  Since the chat is mediocre at best and I hardly ever see anyone on there, the blogs and forums are pretty much it.  Once you've sent out your winks or emails or whatever you do, where else is there to go or do on this site?
So we blog.  I think everyone has their own reasons, but me, personally, aside from therapy and organizing my thoughts, it's just a means of trying to communicate with others on this site so I can get a little more for my money's worth.
